Why Are Affairs Dangerous?

Affairs lower individual sexual satisfaction with your mate and place the stability of the marriage in danger. Divorce then becomes an alternative that puts children, finances and sometimes careers in jeopardy. This is an awful lot to risk. So what is the rationale? Our "if it feels good, anything goes" hormone-driven generation gives many rationales which leave people hurting and families broken.

Midlife people are very focused on "me".   It's time for me! I won't put up with this lack of happiness any more!  This strong drive to immediate gratification causes people to only act on their feelings and forget reason. Yes you have needs, but don't throw away everything else as you sell your soul to the devil for a short term fling.
